Based on the Fairy Tales of H.K. Andersen
Age: 3+
The Princess on a Pea – a fairy tale by the famous Andersen, tells a story about a prince who wanted to marry a real princess. Although he searched for a long time, the real princess “entered” his life quite by accident. The story is simple, although it was created almost two centuries ago, children love it because there are no “scary” characters, dangerous beasts, witches… Unlike the original fairy tale, the playwright introduces two more characters – one is a mouse and the other is a pea.
It is the puppet form of the play and the puppets are combined and provide the possibility of good animation, while the only “living” character is the court’s fool. The scenography is contemporary, associative and symbolic. The music is original, the songs are catchy and very interesting for the children’s audience.
