Age: 10+

The play “The Twelfth Sea” is based on the motifs of the novel by one of the most authentic Serbian writers for children, Igor Kolarov.

Kia Sibin is 12 years old and everyone thinks she is unusual. She collects porcelain figurines of wild animals. Kia meets Simona, a peer, with whom she becomes best friends. The two girls share their secrets, visit the abandoned Orpheus Theater and build their unusual world, the main symbol of which is the Garden of the Moon, a triumph of their imagination and infatuation with a romantic view of the world. However, when Simona falls ill, miracles will have to happen in order for her to recover.

A contemporary fairy tale that, in addition to Kia and Simone, is filled with unusual heroes, Mrs. Flo, Ang-E Sol, Average Joe, and Two Plus One, which through dramatization opens up a space for the possibilities that a Puppet Theater brings with it. Hence, there are a lot of elements of the Puppet Theater in the play, from the animation of the puppets to the animation of objects and materials.
