Lazar Nikolic (1995) is an audio-visual artist and actor. He completed his undergraduate and Master’s studies at the Faculty of Arts in Pristina, in the class of Dr Aleksandar Djindjic and teaching assistant Dr Borjanka Ljumovic. He graduated in 2019 with the role of Andrei in the play Three Sisters (Tri sestre), and completed his Master’s studies in 2021 with the research-based artistic project Michelangelo (Mikelandjelo), in which he explored the dramatic potential of the 5 Rhythms dance method, realised in the venue Drugstore in Belgrade.
As an actor and performer, he has taken part in numerous theatre and authorial projects outside puppet theatre, among which the following are particularly notable:

- Agamemnon, doctoral artistic project by Dr Marija Knezevic, Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, 2019;
- Cries and Whispers (Krici i šaputanja), doctoral artistic project by Dr Borjanka Ljumovic, Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, 2021;
- The Constitution (Ustav), directed by Vojkan Arsic, Reflektor Theatre, 2022;
- Manifesto 2.0 (Manifest 2.0), choreodrama, directed by Filip Petkovski, Reflektor Theatre, 2024;
- Someone Else’s Shoes (Tudje cipele), choreodrama, directed by Ana Furs, co-production of the troupe Athletes of the Heart and Nisville Jazz Theatre, 2024.
In addition to his theatre work, he has performed roles in student films, music videos, and commercials. As a pedagogue and facilitator, he has led movement meditation workshops within international projects in Croatia, Germany, and Bulgaria, as well as stage movement workshops for children in schools.
He began collaborating with the Puppet Theatre Nis during his secondary school years, and since 2021 he has been continuously involved in the work of the theatre as an associate. On 31 December 2025, he became a permanent member of the ensemble.
In his work, he explores the relationship between the body, movement, and dramatic expression, with a particular interest in choreodrama and contemporary performance practices.
