She was born in Niš in 1972—granddaughter of the renowned acting couple, acclaimed artists, and drama champions Jelena and Žarko Joković. Her love for acting developed from a young age. The acting talent she carries in her genes was first nurtured by her constant presence in the theater, and then, through hard work and dedication, she earned her first notable roles.
She completed her secondary acting education in Niš, in the class of the drama queen Mime Vuković Kurić, and graduated with top marks, performing in William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in the role of Titania, directed by Marisav Maret Radisavljević.
Her first acting experiences were gained at the Niš National Theater, and from 1992 she began working as a freelance collaborator at the Niš Puppet Theater, where she stayed for two years before becoming a permanent member of the ensemble at the Zaječar Theater “Zoran Radmilović”. After two seasons, she returned to Niš and continued her work at the National Theater.
In 1995, she enrolled in the BK Academy of Arts, in Professor Ivan Bekjarev’s class, and four years later graduated with the play “Damn it…, Who Started First?” by Dejan Dukovski, receiving a top grade.
She filmed “Zona Zamfirova” by Zdravko Šotra in 2002, marking her first film experience. She then went on to appear in commercials and music videos. She became a permanent member of the Niš Puppet Theater ensemble in 2007, where she continues to work today. Puppetry is slowly but surely becoming her new great love.
