A young fox finds herself alone without her mother in a dark forest, but discovers an unexpected friend in the moonlight. With the Moon’s help, the little fox manages to find food, play, and rest. However, when the Moon disappears too, she sets out in search of it, relying on all the advice her mother taught her and which she has carefully remembered. The Moonlight Fox is a gentle and poetic story about courage and growing up.
A Word from the Director
My motivation for creating this production stemmed from my experience as a parent, through which I have come to understand how important and how challenging the process of overcoming childhood fears can be. I wanted to offer children a performance in which, together with the young fox, they would find the courage to confront whatever fear troubles them, whether it is fear of the dark, loneliness, or the unknown. As always, it is also important to me to provide children with a powerful artistic experience in which visual design, puppet animation, music, text, and movement all work together in harmony to fully engage their attention and invite them to observe with concentration and empathy.
