The story of this fairy tale is set in a kingdom where a witch foretells that the future princess, whatever her name may be, will marry a scarecrow. Fearing this prophecy, the king makes two radical decisions: he refuses to give his daughter a name, which is why she becomes known as the Nameless Princess, and he imposes a strict ban on the use of scarecrows throughout the kingdom.

The ban on scarecrows brings unexpected and serious consequences. The ravens grow so powerful and numerous that they begin to pose a direct threat to the royal throne itself. As so often happens in fairy tales, the prophecy is ultimately fulfilled after all. The Nameless Princess falls in love with the Scarecrow, bringing joy and salvation to the entire kingdom.
