
Born in Niš. She completed her secondary acting school in her hometown in the class of Professor Mima Vuković Kurić, majoring in drama. She began working in puppetry in 1996 and became a permanent member of the Puppet Theatre Niš the same year. In her home theatre alone, she has over 40 premieres and more than 1,600 performances. She has worked with many well-known and respected directors, such as Dr. Branivoj Đorđević, Marisav Radisavljević, Slavoljub Stefanović Ravasi, Kokan Mladenović, Vladimir Lazić, Ivan Šnauts, Viktor Klimchuk, Živomir Joković, and Bisreka Kolevska.
She has received numerous individual and collective awards, both domestically and internationally.
- Award for Role and Animation for the role of Tree Shu-shu in the play “Stars in the Sky,” directed by Mima Janković, at the Meetings of Professional Puppet Theatres of Serbia in Zrenjanin, 1996.
- Award “Milena Sadžak” in 1998 for Best Young Actor at the festival for the role of Buco in the play “Three Little Pigs,” directed by Zoran Lozančić, at the Meetings of Professional Puppet Theatres of Serbia in Belgrade, 1998.
- Award “Janko Vrbnjak” for Best Animation for the role of Baba Poleksija in the play “The Emperor’s Prisoner,” directed by Zoran Lozančić, Zemun, 2005.
- Award for Acting and Animation Mastery for the portrayal of Baba Poleksija in the play “The Emperor’s Prisoner,” directed by Zoran Lozančić, at the International Festival of Children’s Theatre in Subotica, 2006.
- In the 2012/2013 theatre season, she was recognized as the actress with the highest number of performances in her home theatre.
She made a TV film “Pictures in the Night” for Bulgarian National Television in 2003.
She says of herself: “My life has turned out exactly as I wished with all my being. I strived to keep pace with the times. I changed and adapted my way of acting to the rhythm of today’s audience. They live, understand, and think faster… Throughout these years, I have taught children, making them happier, nobler, and better, and they have not spared their applause to reward my efforts. Of all the awards, the most significant to me is the joy of new performances, for them – for the children!”
She is married and has two sons, Aleksandar and Stefan, who are her greatest support.
